  Taxation has been part of the economic system since ancient times.  Every country has some sort of taxation system. Tax is one of the biggest sources of revenue for governments. However, despite the ubiquity of tax, it has been criticized by many, especially libertarians.  Socialists, on the other hand, consider the taxation system as an equalizer; for redistribution of wealth. However, this essay does not echo the already existing literature on the redistribution of the wealth factor of the taxation system. Rather, as the title suggests, it makes a moral argument for taxation.   What Lawyers must Learn from Scientists to protect and promote Constitutional Morality Lawyers have always been considered or at least expected to be people with notable communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex and intricate legal concepts while making submissions in courts. The TV shows and internet series have contributed to this image significantly. On the other hand, scientists and engineers are often envisaged as book worms, nerds and geeks. Computer scientists are depicted as people who are glued to their powerful PCs and physicist to their white/blackboards. Again, television shows have also played a role in this. On September 2, 1962 President John F. Kennedy made the momentous speech of the century. He said- “ We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too”. This speech marked the beginning of the decade long effort of the United States to beat the Soviet Union in the ‘space-race’ during the Cold War era.
